I found these on old rave websites, and i would like to share these with you all! Why are you putting these things on here? Well other wise theyd be lost to time, because i dont think theres lots of people looking at old rave sites. THIS IS FOR DOCUMENTION ONLY.
Ravers ABC A is for acceptance. B is for blowpops, breakbeats and braclets (lotz of them). C is for community and candy. D is for the DJ, drum & bass, and dance. E is for ... E! F is for friends, they keep you inline. G is for the groove and glowsticks. H is for hugs(spread em), happiness, and house. I is for intense and intelegence (use it). J is for jungle. K is for kisses (spread the good vice). L is for love and life. M is for music. N is for nrg and noise. O is for openness and "Ooh! I know you!" P is for peace, progressive, and party. Q is for q-t's and quest. R is for respect. S is for sharing and soul. T is fo tranquility, turntables, togethermess, and toys. U is for unity. V is for the vibe, visuals and visors. W is for water. X is for x-large pants. Y is for youth and you (which make the pawtie possible). Z is for "ZzZzZz". *Thou shall not kill the atmosphere with overt sex on the dancefloor * Thou shall offer gum, candy, and most importantly WATER to those raving nearest thou * Thou shall not covet thy neighbors glowstick, niether his nitrous ballon, nor his ecstacy, nor his spot on the dance floor * Thou shalt not holdest thy ciggarette while catching a groove on the dance floor. For other ravers might suffer burning flesh wounds or ruined rave gear * Thou shall smile at the gentlemen or lady moving to the beat nearest to thou * Thou shall not play gabber in chill room * Thou shalt wear extra deoderant so as not to offend thy neighybor's nose * Thou shall blow thy party whistle and wave thine hands in the air when the music lifts thine spirit * Thou shall announce all disc jockeys prior to their appearance * Thou shall provide free fruit so as to replenish the thirst and hunger of thy bretheren ravers A rave is a social event that modern youth culture has fallen in love with. In most cases, a rave is a dance party in a venue which may be a warehouse, dance club, open field or some other exotic location. They usually have at least one, large amplified stereo system, skilled DJs , colorful moving lights, and at least 50 people. To learn what's so special about them... GO TO ONE! The electronic music scene is ours & ours alone to protect & run responsibly. So let's all take a moment & remember what we love about Raves... (Edge Edit: I had to edit this, please look at the source for the full unedited ver) --------------------------------- People who dance with glowstix Using whistles to hype up the crowd who pass around water when you REALLY need it Needing one more dollar to get in... & when you ask, ravers come to your rescue & you end up with five dollars extra Dancing in front of the speaker stacks & watching your shirt flutter with every beat Random Hugs (Edge note: Nightmare for us autsitic folk LOL) Comparing socks under huge pants Signing a ravebook & that raver giving you a call the next day Socializing in the bathroom line (Edge note: cant imagine how long those lines r..) Having "Morning-After" Breakfast with friends Getting a million goosebumps the moment a song EXPLODES with energy Leaving your stuff for hours & returning to see it hasn't been touched Watching people talk to speakers & walls Hot, manly ravers rollin' with cute, pink binkies People who give you thier only jacket ih the outdoor chill area Kandy Kids letting you hug their e-babies (Edge note: wtf is an e baby) Getting hugs from tough looking Junglists Reaching for lasers... just to be sure you're not trippin' Walking out of a warehouse at 8:00 am, feeling the sun on you & looking up at the blue sky Going out of your way to tell a DJ that he/she played an awesome set Feeling like you could run a few miles the last ten minutes of a rave... then falling asleep on the way home *For Ravers with Strict parents* The feeling of "If they only knew that while they were sleeping..." When you yell out "My friend is puking, anyone have any candy?" And five hands shoot up holding Blow Pops, Star Bursts, & Skittles Giving a Newbie their first peice of kandy Making a song on your whistle & other kids joining in Crazy Hats Photon Lites Going to another city for a rave & meeting people who ask you if you need a place to crash afterwards Meeting a Newbie... then seeing them almost every weekend after that Realizing how many friends you've made because of this music The "I'm Deaf For LIFE!" feeling you get as you walk out of a party People who are so happy and nice it's like they're in another world (and their sober!)
